We transform planning from mere tool usage into operationally effective control.
01
Planning as a Strategic Control Mechanism
We develop planning from an isolated planning tool into an integrated control mechanism for service levels, inventories, productivity, delivery reliability, and resource utilization.
Our focus is not on theoretical optimization, but on planning that is realistically implementable under operational conditions.
02
Operational Effectiveness instead of Theoretical Optimization
Our solutions deliver impact in real operations. Processes, systems, and organization are designed so that planning is not only optimized but can be implemented reliably under real operational constraints.
Because the true challenge of modern planning lies not in calculating a plan—but in actually making it work in practice.
03
Integrated Planning across the Supply Chain, Production and Execution
With our software solutions, we connect supply chain planning, production planning, workforce management, mathematical optimization, and shop floor execution into a consistent decision architecture.
This turns planning into a controllable operational reality.
From Process Consulting to Industrial Decision-Making Architecture
Since its founding, MCP has evolved from a process consulting firm into a specialist for integrated planning and decision architectures for industrial companies. Starting with production planning using Opcenter APS, complemented by proprietary workforce management to ensure operational feasibility, the perspective was expanded to the entire supply chain with Sunstice.
Today, MCP connects production, workforce, and supply chain planning with mathematical optimization, AI-as-a-Service, and execution transparency into an integrated decision architecture for stable and economically controllable companies.
Based on this expertise, TU Wien has invited us to join the newly established CAIML (Center for Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning).
The MCP Workforce Management system is currently being extended with the Shopfloor Monitor. Production staff can report progress directly against the production schedule, enabling real-time tracking of efficiency and schedule adherence in combination with APS and workforce planning.
We now offer our “MCP Workforce Management” product for workforce planning as an end-to-end solution or integrated with other software solutions in addition to Opcenter APS.
Together with TU Wien, we are establishing a Christian Doppler Laboratory dedicated to research on “Artificial Intelligence and Optimization in Planning and Scheduling,” led by Assoc. Prof. DI Dr. Nysret Musliu.
In 2016, approximately 20 employees were dedicated exclusively to production planning and Opcenter APS (formerly Preactor).
MCP has now grown to a team of 8 employees and is carrying out projects in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Poland.
Industry Experience as the Foundation for Operationally Effective Planning
MCP combines deep process and production understanding with technological implementation expertise and mathematical optimization capabilities. Our roots in process consulting enable us to understand planning challenges holistically—from organizational causes and real shopfloor constraints to technical implementation. With more than 300 scheduling and planning projects, MCP has extensive experience across a wide range of production environments—from process industries to high-mix manufacturing.
We understand typical bottlenecks, trade-offs, and operational realities of manufacturing companies. That is why we do not view planning systems as a software project, but as an economic lever to improve service levels, inventory, productivity, and operational stability.
Management Team with Expertise in Industry, Technology, and Optimization
The MCP management team combines deep industrial planning experience, expertise in mathematical optimization, and a proven track record in successful implementation.
This combination enables us to support strategic decision-making at the C-level while reliably executing complex planning systems at the operational level.
